Border Kindness began in the fall of 2018 as a direct response to the “migrant caravans” leaving Central American countries on a quest for a better life.

GoalThis rebranding was a team project separated into multiple groups. There was branding, social media, motion graphics, merch, and a User Interface (UI) group. I was on the UI team, where we had to redesign their website. Our main focus was to create a more cohesive website that integrated with their social media. We also wanted to highlight the Donate button by having it in multiple locations throughout the website. With donations being an integral part of their funding for projects such as “migrant moms” or their “backpack” program, we believed that we should ensure users would see the donation button. My task was reworking their  “Press” tab, making it more engaging and user-friendly for the target audience. When redesigning, I wanted to create a visual hierarchy that made it easy for users to navigate and share what Border Kindness does.
